A Call to Conscience: Revisiting King’s Radical Revolution of Values
To mark the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s momentous address, “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence,” Chicago Area Peace Action is holding a commemorative gathering to reflect on the current state of civil rights and progressive movements in America. The event will include a rereading of Dr. King’s speech along with speeches by prominent area organizers and a networking session for activists.
Admission is free, but CAPA encourages all attendees to register on the event page of their website. For more information, please see the event posting here.
