CCDBR & LPL: Digital Defense: Protecting Your Community
Join Lucy Parsons Labs for a digital security and privacy training event. The session, hosted by the Chicago Committee to Defend the Bill of Rights, will feature an open panel discussion with local experts on digital security best practices, followed by a hands-on workshop in which panelists will coach the participants.
The session will be conducted in a privacy-preserving format, as participants will not be obligated or pressured into revealing their identity, though they are free to do so if they choose. The training will also present material published by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and printed copies of referenced resources will be made available to attendees.
As members of the EFF’s Electronic Frontier Alliance (EFA), both CCDBR and LPL place a strong emphasis on promoting digital literacy and defending digital freedoms. This session marks the continuation of a close partnership between CCDBR and LPL, which has encompassed such varied events as digital security trainings, Freedom of Information Act workshops, and open forums on current digital rights topics such as net neutrality.
For more information on the training session, see our Facebook Event listing here.
