The Fest Presents: Intercepted Live
At this year’s The Fest presented by Third Coast, the Intercepted podcast by The Intercept will be recording a live show at the Logan Square Auditorium. Hosted by Jeremy Scahill, the episode will feature Chicago-based academics, activists, and journalists to discuss, along with its regular programming, social and political issues of relevance to communities in Chicago. Among the guests slated to speak on the show are University of Chicago professor and academic specializing in the history of race relations in the United States, Eve Ewing, and Invisible Institute journalist whose reporting centers on Chicago police misconduct, Jamie Kalven.
Guests and format for the episode are still being determined, but further updates will be posted on Intercepted’s Twitter handle as the event is finalized.
The Fest is a two-week festival which aims to bring podcasts from around the country to Chicago, inviting them to perform and record live shows for Chicago audiences. The Fest is a part of Third Coast’s Third Coast Conference, which brings together professionals in the audio content and production industry, with an emphasis on podcasting.
Tickets to the Intercepted live show, specifically, may be purchased here. Passes for the entire festival need not be purchased.
