Bill of Rights Club: A Podcast by CCDBR
Posted on August 10, 2017
The Chicago Committee to Defend the Bill of Rights is excited to announce the launch of a new podcast: Bill of Rights Club. Over the course of this series, we’ll be taking the most pressing and significant current events we cover on the site that we think deserve some more attention and explore them in detail. By taking a deep dive into major civil liberties developments, we hope to illuminate the complex ways in which they impact our civil society, and what you can do to preserve your rights.
In Episode 1 of Bill of Rights Club, CCDBR President Bob Clarke and host Jonathan Terrasi discuss Illinois legislation reforming civil forfeiture practices, a ruling on National Security Letters by the Ninth Circuit Court, and a bipartisan congressional effort to criminalize a pro-Palestinian boycott movement.
